| The Twins |
Out in the outskirts amongst the farmlands is an old building, the structure is barely holding together, the owners' an elderly couple whose children have left to the city for more fantastical lives than the slow doldrum of country living. The twins had assisted them on an "exorcism" many years ago, one of their first independent jobs. The couple felt as if they own the kids more than they could ever pay now many years later there able to help the twins.
The building old, absolutely ancient, from a time were these farmlands extended for miles, and entire small town sprung around them, over the decades the farmland has shrunk, last used almost half a century ago to house temporary labor, the ramshackle had gone in disrepair and having been hunted for a good part of that last century it had for a while turned into a small Gouma den, one of the many reasons the elderly couple had been stuck with what was left of the farmland no one wished to purchase a place infested with evil yokai.
Truth be told most of the Yokai that had made their home there at the time were nature spirits and other harmless creatures that had found themselves pushed away from their old homes as the cities sprung, some Yokai not being as adaptable as others, needing that connection to nature. The twins had been tasked to exorcise, but at the time choose a different path...
Although no longer a Gouma Den most who approach the building feel the clear sign of Spirits and Yokai, on the outside the building looks like a traditional Japanese structure in disrepair, once one enters the building there is a main room a large space that could easily host twenty or so people, once used to impart the instructions of the day to the farmhands.
To the left of the main room was the original 'Kitchen' a long hallway of production which had been modernized a good hundred years ago, wooden stove and manual equipment.
Returning to the main room, to the left side near the entrance of the kitchen, is a stairway, the stairs are rackety and at times feel like there barely able to hold the weight of a person, but fallowing them up, takes you to the second floor of the building clearly a later addition, due to how is structured, many small rooms just large enough for a person to have a place to sleep and maintain some of their belongings.
On the right-side of the main room is a smaller room that the twins have cleaned up as their space for the time being, a cable running outside allows a small generator to bring the room to the 21st century.
