Hard-working and selfless, Fumiko carries herself to try to do the best she can for her own situation, espcially for her own daughter. She tries to find the good things more than the bad things and while she feels like she could be struggling she will refuse, as she can be a bit stubborn to getting what she wants for herself.
Character Strengths: Frugal- She doesn't like spending a lot of money, which is a good thing for her financial situation. She also would use it to find the better deals in stores or any deal really.
Optimistic- She does her best to find the best in less than desirable situations. Staying positive to try to cheer up people and try not to make people worry about her. She also can cheer people up easier when sad.
Resourceful- She has creative ideas for multitasking and can find ways to solve problems quicker.
Character Flaws: Stubborn- She is very adament about things and is less likely to change her mind once she sets her mind on something. This goes for her morals and beliefs that she has and she will defend herself passive-aggressively.
Bad Memory- She doesn't have the best time remembering things, always losingnew information in about 3 weeks if she doesn't get it in her mind completely. This stemed from her brief fling cursing her which messed with her memory.
Workaholic- She spends most of her time working and leaves her with less hobbies to enjoy, she can become stressed with trying to put a better financial plan for not only her but Ayane.
Backstory: Born on the outskirts of Fukuoka by her parents, she had grown up in the early parts of her childhood for the life of farming, which the family used to own a grape farm that she helped alot growing up. They made decent money selling grapes and grape related products. Sadly that venture was forced to come to an end when a group of shikome attacked the farm and destroyed the crops alongside their wealth. She was young at the time and she didn't know why they had to move so suddenly but as she known it as it was a big change in her life and a tragedy for later.
Over the next few years of her childhood and into her, Fumiko worked little jobs of helping others for money to help support her parents that were working a lot of hours to make sure they find a chance to regain their fortune. It got so tight sometimes that the home just felt like a relaxing place more than they actually stayed in it. She had lost her mom by a heart attack in the florist shop from overworking. Ayane was sad and the shop owner at the time felt bad so they offered her a job there with additional pay and benefits for her teenage self. She accepted and has been a very good worker there ever since. It was Arekore florist shop.
At the age of 18, she had lost her father in his sleep. Ayane was terrified of how she was going to live in the house by herself. While she had gotten money from her parents life insurance, she didn't feel like losing all that money again for the second time and she kept it hidden away. She also didn't like being alone at the time when she was struggling. One night, she met a mysterious man that captivated her and he had seemed to be the same to her. They got to know each other very well every night for about 3 weeks. Ayane soon found out she was pregnant shortly after that night and when she went to find the man to tell him, he got mischeviously scared and he sent a curse of cat ears and a tail on Fumiko and left the prefecture entirely.
While she was at first scared and heartbroken that she would become a single mom to her future child, Ayane, she had the very best intentions to give her the best life she would have, as well as she would spoil her despite the finances. Caring for Ayane, it made her block most of the memories that she had for the bakeneko. She was the one that helped Ayane save up for the motorcycle and gave her toys. She also adjusted to Ayane also being a demi yokai, happy to have both a daughter and pet in one package so she didn't have to spend too much money. When Ayane wanted to go explore the world around her and expressed interest about her father, Fumiko did the best she could to support her daughter as she worked and sends some money on Ayane's credit card when pay day comes.
Family, Friends Etc: Meinya, Ayane- Her 19 year old daughter, she is a demi-yokai from a bakeneko father. Having the same hair color and eye color as Fumiko, she wants her mom to have less burden just for their happiness. She also is currently traveling Japan to find her biological father that Fumiko had a brief fling with.
Unknown Bakeneko- This is the yokai that she had a brief fling with, which caused Ayane to be born. He had cursed her after he found out about Ayane. This and her hurt made her blur his name and appearance out of her mind.
Meinya Mai- Her deceased mother, Fumiko was said to look just like Mai except Mai had lighter hair. Mai worked hard as a farmer, distributing and cultivating grapes in her prime alongside her husband. She unfortunately lost the farm in an attack caused by shikome. They had to move to another place in Fukuoka and died by overworking. She was 59 years old when she passed.
Meinya Shirakoku- Her deceased father, he was a plump, short man with blond hair and brown eyes. He also had a broom mustashe. He ran a grape farm with his loving wife and daughter til the attack on the farm sent them running to another place to try to find another job to support the family. He had died at 63 years old, peacefully in his sleep.
Powers: She has no powers.
Power Theme: While it looks like she is a bakeneko like Ayane, she had no powers attached with the curse that was given to her. Other than probably being cute to some people.
