Mika turned away and took the time he spend devouring that fast food meal to see about taking some wraps and a basket to take with her for a much needed bath and put the money she got from those suited men in her moving book as temporary safe keeping. Going without for another day was just pushing it. She can deal with her hunger in the morning as she stepped back onto the deck to see him warming up by the makeshift fire. “So he does,” she sighed that he actually listened that much. The miko climbed down to sit and get her sandals back on when he asked where she was. Mika paused to think up a reason for her absence and quickly put a string of events together. It all seemed a weird occurrence to dream up if not for waking up in that same black car and getting dropped off at the shrine.
“While you were away, some people visited the shrine. I was asked to perform a brief exorcism. Some visitors arrived while you were away so I tended to them. It seems people do know about the shrine after all so expect visitors.” Mika explained in a way that hopefully meant Orochi doesn’t run them off without realizing she was lapsing from limited sleep to vocally reaffirm what took place. Grabbing the basket, she started to make her way to the hot spring as he handled that tiny campfire. The last thing Orochi would hear from her is calling out, “Be sure to put that out when you’re done, okay?”
Having what maybe have been the most descent conversation yet, she headed off to wade in the hot springs and try not to fall asleep in their comforting waters once the stringing in her leg died down. The basket keeping her clothes and the bandages close by. Taking a moment to process what exactly or who those people were, she noted how the water felt oddly tingly. Whether it be her own discomforts or maybe chalk it up to not being in a natural spring for so long, Mika attempted to think nothing of the oddity. As long as those people paid then that means she can use those funds to keep the shrine in an improved state. Just a matter of those demons lurking in the darkness.
