"Maybe he would but i got a long way to go before i can walk the walk. Here. Should be good and help you perk up a bit, there's some ginseng."
Aito leaned forward to take the lid with the tea, "Thank you" he slowly sipped the tea, focusing on how it felt running through his body, it was the little miracles that he appreciated the most, stealing moments like this one. In where he could feel the wind on his body, he was sitting on his own power and his hands were strong enough and stable enough to hold a lid and drink out of it.
"I see so you got knocked back at the starting line and you're trying to catch up, that's admirable."
"Kinda, in a way I never left the starting line" he tilted his head to a side "All of this is so new to me at times, I get lost in the moment." he smiled bringing down the lid, taking a moment to enjoy the flavor of his previous sip.
"You have a different set of circumstances, and to be honest only a bad trainer would treat every person the same."
"Been kind of lucky that my doctors and therapist have been helpful" his older sister had felt responsible for him that she pivoted her life into medicine and had become a nurse in order to take care of Aito, at times he felt guilty for her doing that, even though she claimed that she was happy with her choice and happier yet to see him grow better.
Although Aito was used to getting poked and prodded, he still flushed at having Haru go around testing him, he didn't resist, if anything he was more used to it that he wished to admit. Haru would realize from his testing and verification that the boys functional muscle mass was barely existent, if anything most of his muscle mass seem to focus on his shoulders back and chest, all muscles working overtime to control his large wingspan.
"Each body has it's own needs and because of that training should be catered to them, You were looking to strengthen your body basically from zero, right? Core exercises and Cardio are going to be the most important then, you need to set your body's foundations and the heart, lungs and core muscles are where everything else follows. From there it gets a lot easier to make progress."
"Yes, Zero" he listened to his recommendations which were quite align to some of what his physical therapist had told him in the past.
"Alright, why don't we do some tests after classes, I'll see where you are now and we can go from there. Do you have any athletic wear?"
"Not in school yet," he was aware there were discussing on putting him on some special training to catch him up, but he honestly did not know what to expect for his first day, so he carried light. "I can come early with stuff before class" if anything having someone to keep him honest and on task would be very helpful.

Haru smiled when he confirmed zero. "you know the funny thing about zero is that sure it represents emptiness...but it also represents limitless potential." he said as he sat back down, "Being a zero is nothing to be ashamed of, so long as you dont get complacent."
"Alright well, i think we'll need some athletic wear. How early are you willing to come in tomorrow?" he said as he scarfed down another riceball. "We can do some basic checks to see where you're at and keep it light, youd have a full day ahead of you." he grinned and gave Aito a thumbs up "I think you have a lot of potential." he said, before another loud voice broke out.
"oh it's the dud!" he sneered as two other students moved in behind him. The one at the fore had short black hair and piercing grey eyes, the one on his left was large and chunk, a mix of fat and muscle, almost 6 feet tall he was blarly the brawns. The other guy was about as tall but as thin as a rail, lanky and bony. They were all third years. "Whats that going to show this freshman how to be a failure?" the three laughed as haru clenched his jaw and stood up.
"New kid, did you know this guy cant do any magic?" he jeered as the three approached. "I wouldn't spend any time with him, his failure is probably contagious." he continued. "You wont get far at thsi school if you cant tell the useful contacts from the useless failures. Isn't that right Mr. Mediocre?" his voice was haughty and higher than thou, arrogant inflections showing a sense of superiority.
"Id rather have no talents and try hard than sit on my laurels and show no effort." Haru shot back. "Imagine living off of your family's name like some hanger on."
"Oh well then lets see what our new friend here thinks. Who would you rather be associated with?"

"you know the funny thing about zero is that sure it represents emptiness...but it also represents limitless potential."
Aito smiled at this, he had been hyper focusing on his flaws that he had ignored his boons, it was easy to fall for the trap of his failures and completely miss how much he had already advanced in such a short amount of time.
"Being a zero is nothing to be ashamed of, so long as you dont get complacent."
"I really want to get better" if he could do all these things even with his current limitations, then what more could he do with further training, could he even fly? He spent a lifetime of feeling like a caged bird, could he earn his freedom, though hard work.
"Alright well, i think we'll need some athletic wear. How early are you willing to come in tomorrow?"
He took a moment to think, "How early where you thinking?" he asked, "As long as I don't tell mom, I think I can convince dad to drop me early, maybe two hours before class, maybe more, I know mom would hate it, but she didn't want me to be in school, though I should take more time to get better." his mother and sister meant well, but they hovered over Aito, if it was not because of school, his phone probably would have blown up with hundreds of text messages and a couple dozen phone calls.
"We can do some basic checks to see where you're at and keep it light, youd have a full day ahead of you. I think you have a lot of potential."
"Yeah we can do that" he if anything he liked the idea of having someone else to train with, his mother had been so concerned about his recovery that she had hired a physical therapist to come to them, so he didn't even get to share his small victories, with anyone else, but the people on his home, his father was always on his side, and his mother kept trying to slow him down, telling him that if he pushed to hard he could get hurt or worse, his sister was agreeable, but usually took his mothers side.
"oh it's the dud!"
The voice took him off his happy place, he hid behind the lid slowly sipping the drink as the trio approached, they were tall and compared to Aito's frame, even the lanky one looked more fit than he was, his wing drooped as his mood soured from hearing them speak ill of Haru. He vaguely remembered them one of them had practically trampled him when he arrived at the school, one of them had made a comment about his old jacket. Maybe they didn't recognize him without his jacket and with his crimson wings out in pain view.
"Whats that going to show this freshman how to be a failure?"
As Haru stood up, Aito shrunk his wings being brought tightly against his back as he tried to subconsciously make himself a small target, but even with all that effort, one of directed the conversation to him.
"New kid, did you know this guy cant do any magic?"
"So?" he said somewhat confused, he knew about people having powers, but it was not something that ever came up around him often, his father didn't have powers, his mother never confirmed or even entertained the conversation, he knew having them helped getting into this school, but didn't think much of it, he was in the school due to his powers, not due to the education.
"I wouldn't spend any time with him, his failure is probably contagious."
"Uhm..." he brough down the lid, he did not want trouble, but he really didn't understand why they were being so mean, Haru had been awesome, and helpful, he had already convinced himself that he wanted to be more like Haru. There was bit of verbal sparing, in were the senior student kept trying to put down Haru.
"Oh well then lets see what our new friend here thinks. Who would you rather be associated with?"
Slowly Aito stood up, staying at his distance, he gave a low bow respecting the seniority of the student before him, as he did so the chain with his fathers old dog tags slid from his shirt. "Sorry," he said a small quiver in his voice, he slowly came up from his bow, hand wrapping tightly against his fathers dog tags, "Semper Fidelis..." he said firmly "I've made my commitment, I won't brake my word" he saw Haru as friend, and he did not have many of those.

"I'm usually here a bit before sunrise, so any time after that. I'd recommend about two hours if you want enough time to hit the showers before the rest of the day" Haru said with a finger tapping his chin in thought. That was of course before the arrival of the interlopers. The three approached within a short distance as the smirk on the center one's face dropped. "Oh... you think so but loyalty to the unworthy is anything but a virtue. I guess we'll need to show you how unworthy he is." he said as he nodded to the two flanking him. Haru shifted his stance wider as he spoke to Aito without looking at him, "You might want to get out of here if you don't want to get dragged into any disciplinary action." he said as his hands balled up into fists. The larger ones approached on haru's right the lanky one on his left. Haru knew where this was going and was already preparing. Haru took a deep breath preparing himself for the fight as he took a fighting stance, ready to spring to action The opening strikes would be vital as in a 2 vs 1, his odds of coming back from an early mistep was low. As his countless bruises over the years could attest. The old Haru lost so many fights in this situation however there was something different in his eyes today, something feral. After having spent the starlit night with momiji and seeing how far he had to climb, these two... they were speed bumps on his way to the top. He muttered something to himself, his eyes hiding behind his wild bangs. If Aito strained he might hear it barely whispered over the wind. "To run with the pack
One must find it deep within
The beast's wild Hunger"

"I'm usually here a bit before sunrise, so any time after that. I'd recommend about two hours if you want enough time to hit the showers before the rest of the day" Aito nodded, he was almost certain he could swing two hours early, his father could probably cover for him, and as long as he kept his mother out of the conversation, there would be minimal hovering. " We can try that" it was not like he was sleeping long nights lately, between having to learn to sleep on his side or just find ways to not feel like his wings were trying to stab him in his sleep he kept looking for ways to be out of his bed. His response to the senior student seem to disagree with him, he knew that he probably could have been a bit more tactful, but he didn't care for bullies, much less ones that spoke ill of friends. "You might want to get out of here if you don't want to get dragged into any disciplinary action." Although he had been somewhat brave in his staying firm for his friend honor, he had not planned ahead, nor did he expect them to go straight into violence. " I hear you..." he said softly, his knees shook as he saw them move forward, Haru taking a stance that readied him for whatever came in his direction, he found himself frozen solid in his indecision. The two moved with confidence, there eyes locked on Haru though the look on their face made it clear they were not taking Haru with seriously the larger of the two moved in curling his fist aiming the youth's gut, the move was heavily telegrammed, yet it was clear the amount of power that blow would have. The lankier one bolted curving his movement to flank from the side. Clenching his right fist tight enough to cause his nails to pierce his skin, as he approached his blood forcefully drew from his wound and with a swing of his arm a blood whip snaped loudly, it was far enough it would not make contact with Haru, but close enough that the loud snap would occur in close proximity. His intentions being to distract from the towering fist.

Haru had dealt with these two before. As the two moved in on him he had their tandem to memory. The lanky one was the type to distract and restrict, the power hitter was the threat at least early in the fight. The old Haru would have gone for a complete dodge.... but he wanted to try something new. AS the whip cracked Haru took a step to the side as he moved the big guys guard. A look of undisguised bloodlust mixed with a somewhat unsettling version of his usual confident smile. putting his hands on the oncoming fist to ensure it had been redirected, and hopefully somewhat unbalancing his opponent. The next move seemed to flow like water as Haru's elbow moved directly for the big guy's throat. For the first time he had met force with force. Whether or not the strike was successful, his next focus was to then move around him, his legs gracefully carrying the momentum from his maneuver and the redirected punch as he got some space, Now behind the big guy and staring directly at the Lanky one. He repositioned them so that they were both at his front now. This would be a challenge, as the whip had range and flexibility. "Step up to the plate." he told them as he tore his blazer free for mobility. His Cheshire smile remained as took another stance, his legs ready to spring and launch him when necessary.
Shibatta was surprised, since when did this worm get the gall to try to fight back like this? This was a new development, what was it because he wanted to show off to the underclassman? If so this would be satisfying when his chosen left and right hand crushed him like a badly written love letter.

The two were surprised that their patented if a bit overused pincer move did not work. The blood whip crackled in the air causing Aito to flinch, yet Haru masterfully avoided the crack and maintained his composure.
The larger of the two swung his first, but Haru's sidestep had gotten him out of the way, he expected him to jump backwards or block so he had over extended himself in the move. Allowing Haru to put his hand on his fist and redirect causing all that power to draw him forward and stumble a few feet as he attempted to regain his footing.
Between his tunnel vison and his unbalanced step he did not have the time to react as Haru's elbow slammed against his throat. Instantly his mind panicked as his air flow was restricted he collapsed to the ground hard and began to claw at his neck adding to the panic, he would be fine in the long term, but at this moment he was disabled.
Haru's movements flowed with ease, focusing on the lankier of the two, he was shocked, this was not the boy they had faced before, something had changed "GET UP YOU LUNK" he screamed to his partner as he raised his guard, Haru had suddenly become a real threat.
"Step up to the plate."
The lanker fighter, launched himself forward screaming madly, as he clenched his second fist to form a second blood whip, he lashed the whips madly trying to cover as much space as possible, and limiting Haru's options. "You think your better!! YOUR A POWERLESS WASTE OF SPACE!"
If the observant young warrior, paid attention to his surroundings, with every lash the lankier warrior left behind small amounts of his blood, and based on his palor and movements, he could only maintain this pressure for so long.

Haru didn't have many approach options, and he wasnt entirely sure what to do. He never expected to actually take the big guy down, even temporarily. Getting this far just hadn't occurred to him. And yet now was his chance to actually rise above. He knew that if he tried to approach straight on he would be hit and restricted. he had to get creative, and before the big guy could wake up. Reaching up he grabbed a pair of branches from the tree and snapped them off. twirling them around like makeshift swords, he took a deep breath.
"I see sharp eyes there
Scar and muscles from hard work
A heart that won't quit."
He opened his eyes again, locking with the Lankier fighter. There was a beast behind those eyes finally awakened. A single whip crack more was the signal as he started charging forward with frightening speed, one whip crack came close and he deflected it with the stick in his offhand, *CRACK* it shattered sending wooden shrapnel grazing the left side of his face as he continued advancing. Another whip blow came low as he jumped over it, seeing a second rapid strike as he was still in the air and unable to move. *CRACK* the second stick exploded as he blocked with it, before hitting the ground. He was now only about 10 feet away.
Haru then threw both splintered remains of the sticks straight at the Lanky one's face, his bloodlust continuing to rise as he followed after the thrown distractions with a raised wound up punch. Aimed directly at his nose with a running start. It was a gamble, and he had fully tunneled his attention. All he was, and all he had become was a precision cruise missile aimed directly at this man's nose. What happened after the blow was a problem for future haru.

Haru was not deterred, he did not dance around his lashes in fear, he did not freeze or flinch at the crack, the tried to swing faster, stronger, his arms started to scream, and his body panicked, he didn't see other options his legs did not want to move, and Haru was approaching with speed, even the few glancing blows were barely victories as the powerless body barreled forward. The distance he so often coveted was being stolen from him feet by feat.
He lashed at the splinters blocking them only to realized Haru used it as a distraction to barrel forward. He bended his blood barely forming a barrier between his face and Haru's fist, the impact still caused him to lose balance, his blood falling on the ground in a lifeless pool, he was pale and infuriated as Haru towered over his form, he could see the beast in Haru's eyes, he started to nervously laugh "For a second, I thought you had actual power" he rested his hand over the nearby puddle of blood, causing it to quiver.
The blood started to quiver and form crystalized blood spikes, "Stay from me!" he shouted as the small spikes began to expand, the blood structures where not that powerful, but the sharp points were narrow enough to pierce through defenses.
Aito shouted to Haru, "Careful the big one!" as the larger of the two seem to start to regain his composure.

Haru had a split second to figure out what he was going to do, his fist collided with he barrier, just barely missing the thing guy's face as he noticed the attack of spikes coming from the guy on the ground, Meanwhile the shout of warning told him the other opponent was gaining his feet. He needed to press the advantage but how and where?
If he allowed the skinny guy to regain his footing he would have to continue fighting a 2 on 1, if he ignored the big guy he was probably going to take a big hit.
Then again he was used to taking big hits. what separated him from everyone else was that he wouldn't stay down.
Haru's rage was clear on his face, a look of murder in his eyes as he raised his arms up to catch the spikes. He gritted his teeth in a fanged rictus grin as he responded by advancing through the attack, landing with his knees on the chest of the guy on the ground. braking the spikes as he descended with an uncharacteristic roar of rage. He started punching the guy on the ground in the face, bouncing his head against the ground like a speed bag. Haru was not relenting, until his target stopped moving and was completely neutralized he was in it, for the kill.
Someone was going to need to get him off the skinny guy, the big guy was unopposed in what he would do, but his friend was very much in actual danger. The ferocity and bloodthirst coming off of Haru was unprecedented. He was a completely different kid from just last week.
For now all haru could see was a narrow vision in front of him, and everything was covered in shades of red.

Haru was not relenting the blood bender did not have much opportunity to act as Haru did not slow down even after clashing with his barrier, nor he seem to have any self-preservation left as he pushed forward ignoring the spikes...
No, no, no, no, no was the only though running through the thinner fighter, he was starting to feel cold as he used his blood with reckless abandon, the beast masquerading as a man that was rapidly approaching collapsed his defenses with ease, his eyes grew wide in terror as he felt his body freeze, his mind panicked failing to send proper commands to his blood, his spikes shattered with ease at Haru's forward approach, barreling at him like a predator lashing at its wounded prey, he raised his arms in attempt to protect himself the hits started coming fast and hard it did not take long before the sting on his arms went numb and they themselves went limp as his visions blurred as his minds burned in the bloodlust on Haru's face.
Aito didn't know how to react the fury in Haru was warranted, but something told him that Haru was going further than he would normally go, this was not the same person who had been helpful to him all day, he managed to more a foot, only to make eye contact with the bigger of the two who as he stook grasped at a branch, his skin taking the consistency of the branch, he himself grit his teeth he started to run toward Haru branch in hand only to pivot and launch the branch like a Javelin at Aito, as the make shift Javelin escaped his hand, he completed his spin continuing to barrel through towards Haru, his skin hardened much like the wood on that branch, "Off him freak" he growled.
His words were quickly muffled by the scream from Aito, who though had attempted to move out of the way of the makeshift Javelin, but was still so not in touch with his extra limbs that he did not realize he was not the target his wing took the brunt instinctively he retracted them causing more trouble to himself as the branch shifted, it had not fully pierced, but it had managed to lodge itself on his feathers, Aito instantly went pale, if it was not for the constant sharp reminders at every slight shift, he probably would have instantly collapsed to the initial hit.
If Aito's painful bellow had not snapped Haru out of his tunnel vison, then the barreling crackling beast would, his body cracked and crunched in his reinforced wooden form with speed that seem improbable for his size, his arms open and ready to grapple Haru in order to drag him away from his partner who was looking worse for wear. He was not sure what irritated him more the fact that this kid was actually putting a fight or the fact the felt the need to use his power against him...

Haru's cold grin grew more and more cruel, as he continued to strike back at one fo the ones who had tormented him for so long. Not a single usage of any powers on his end, and here he was not only dominating but able to kill his target.
Missive jaws opened in his mind eye, huge fangs hungry for blood.
Haru looked up, shocked out of his wild hunt like state to see Aito take a hit. His murder trance broken for a moment as he noticed Aito cry out in pain.
The more human cast to haru's eyes took over, as his gleaming murder focus had dissipated. Haru had only one way he could think of, grabbing the lanky kid from the ground. Luckily the lanky guy was so skinny, which allowed haru to lift his body from the ground and throw him at the charging inbound giant. "Catch!" he declared as he rolled past the oncoming charger, and made a beeline towards Aito.
"Hey there, you ok?" he asked before he turned around and glared at the others, resulting in another stand off. "You two cant deal with one powerless guy so you had to target the new kid." he glowered. "I dont care if you beat the shit out of me, I'm used to it, but this..." He pointed as if condemning them, "You are truly despicable."
Haru moved now to interpose himself between them and Aito. Trying not to think about the fact that he lost control. Harus forearms streamed blood freely as he pulled the remaining spiikes from his arms. The fact that he didnt even react to the fact that he was bleeding was a testament to the severity of his training and his own mental fortitude.

"Catch!"
A dangerous smirk danced on the larger combatant as he barreled forward, his plan succeeded, whatever bloodlust trance his opponent was in was lost in his need to protect his peer, meaning he now was facing the same old Haru he was used to facing, his slimmer partner was launched at him, he grabbed him and slowed his roll, looking at the condition of his partner, if he didn't know better, he would think Haru was going for the kill, this fact only made their encounter much more interesting, he didn't have to be just the muscle. Laying his partner down he let out breath full of steam as his body relaxed into its natural state, he turned around seeing Haru distracted with the broken bird.
"Hey there, you ok?"
Haru asked the confused boy, who was looking paler than normal, beads of sweat running down his face, "Ugh...?" he managed to vocalize a grunt under his shallow yet rapid breath, he shifted his wind, sending sharp pain through his body. "You two cant deal with one powerless guy so you had to target the new kid."
"Your kid" he growled as he squared off against Haru from the distance, "Was going to get involved..." he raised a closed fist, "I just equaled the playing field"
"I dont care if you beat the shit out of me, I'm used to it, but this... You are truly despicable."
He raised his index finger and pointed at the collapsed heap that was his combat partner, "You don't see me mourning him..." his eyes narrowed as rested his hands on his chest in mockery, "I was merciful, I aimed for his wings, he could be drowning in his blood" nothing in his face made it clear if he was lying or not, but what was clear was he was ready for a round two if Haru pushed forward.
Aito was struggling to find words, his knees were shaky, he mumbled a bit before finding his voice, "Why is it so hot..." he asked loudly, clear panic cutting through his confusion.
"Sounds like your friend needs help, hero~" he said in a singsong voice as he leaned down to grab a pebble, and as he closed his fist around his skins texture began to change, "Make your choice" he fallowed with a grumble of a voice.

He smelled it, Aito was bleeding, badly. He grabbed Aito, lifting him into his arms as he pulled back and away from his opponent. Giving him some distance, Haru took it as a chance to assess the status of Aito as he laid him down gently. seeing the bleeding he knew what he had to to. drawing one of his two blade he cut the buttons of his collared shirt off, ripping it off before slicing through the wood spear just on the edge of where it penetrated. Working fast he pulled the remaining half through since it had already pierced and cut his shirt in half forming a makeshift bandage to at least minimize the bleeding. "Sorry you got caught up in this... its my fault... but I'm going to make him pay." Haru said to him as his eyes seemed to change, the pupils shifting in shape and becoming more cat like, and the color shifting from hazel to gold. "Just stay down and stay safe, ill take care of this and get you to the nurse alright." he said as he knew his opponent was already advancing. For those seeing Haru unclothed for the first time would not how muscular he actually was. it was not obvious when he was wearing clothes but his body looked as if it had been chiseled from stone. His physique was not like a body builders, not was it quite like an athletes. He had the physique of a swordsman who needed to be able to keep up powerful strikes in succession while maintaining flexibility and agility. He was not as scrawny as he looked. This time however he went with a weapon that could draw blood, Haru would respond with live steel. His eyes looked up at his oncoming opponent the changed color and shape seemed to glow. Something was happening, had he been hiding powers this whole time? Haru met his opponent with an advance of his own Springing forward on a long leaping stride he hit the ground and swung with his main hand single handed, curving a long and graceful arc straight at his neck, this was to grab his opponents complete and undivided attention as his feet set solidly on the ground, and another attack launched from his off hand, drawing and attacking in a single strike directly at his opponents, right hamstring, as his main hand attack went for his left jugular. in his eyes was anger sure, but it was colder than before, more focused. there was no rictus or smile this time, but a dispassionate gaze that reflected back the world exactly as it was. Immediately after the attacks hit or were parried his feet launched himself to the opponents right. spinning as he prepared another loping cut wit both blades aimed at his opponent's midriff like a pair of claws on the same paw. Before he was like a cat torturing a mouse, now he was more like a cold predator.

" Sorry you got caught up in this... its my fault... but I'm going to make him pay." Aito was barely holding into his conscience when Haru got to him, his body practically collapsing on Haru's hands, giving no resistance as Haru moved quickly to field dress the wound, his eyes were unfocused, as they made contact with Haru, " I'm okay nurse" he said with shaky voice, his mind associating the cold shivers on his body with the sterile hospital room, " Can you turn down the heater..." he was struggling to comprehend why he felt so cold yet so warm, his body doing everything to not give in... " Just stay down and stay safe... Alright little Sparrow. One day you will leave the nest," the nurse smiled as she closed the curtains, " Everyone leaves the hospital one day" she walked up to him fixing his blanket, " Your lucky" she wiggled her finger, " A broken arm," she shook her head " Your can't take risks like that, your only hurting everyone else." she sigh as she walked out of the room only to poke he head in for a moment, " Don't give up though"
Initially he though Haru was going to take his mercy, and take his friend away, but as he turned around, it was clear to him that Haru was ready for another round. He raised an eyebrow as he got a good look at him, he had to respect the effort that would take to mold one's body the way Haru had, but that just made it more evident how different they were, they stood on completely different worlds, he was an elite, a noble bloodline fairing back to the great clans, Haru was no different than an ordinary peasant, worse, he was a powerless peasant. Or so he though till he saw his eyes... He clenched his fist so tightly his stone skin cracked; he glanced at his beat-up partner who flailed about failing to do more than scratch Haru, while he was not using his own powers, and then he himself felt to need to use his own abilities, while clearly Haru was holding back, this went beyond insult, this was a declaration of war in his mind, he would not allow a someone like him to claim to have beaten an Elite, much less two. Haru launched at him with speed, power and deadly precision, his body hardened as the blade made contact to his body. The blade as his neck cracked the stone silvers of blood moving down, the second blade slammed against the stone form " My turn WORM!!!" Haru was moving with great agility as he instantly moved to his next assault, had he still been playing with his food, Haru's pivot would have had been enough for him to lose track of him, but as both blade aimed at his body he launched his hands to meet them, if he managed to grab them he would tug Haru forcefully at him, to meet him with a headbutt, and if that made contact, he would continue pulling the blade down rose his knee to force Haru to crash against it. " Stop playing games and fight!" now he was convinced that Haru was holding back and he was going to drag it out of him, " Or you want me to draw it out of your friend" clearly his own self-preservation all this time told him to take the beating, that it was not worth fighting them back, but clearly Haru though himself a righteous hero.
