A decade ago a group of kids wielding powers beyond their comprehension faced evil by the light of the moon. Their fight ending in a tragic sacrifice. Evil stopped, their powers shattered and life was lost.
Evil once again awakens, slowly stirring from its long slumber.
Will our heroes be willing to once more wear their vestment of power in the eternal war against evil? Or will they turn their back now knowing the cost of war?
The cosmos is crying, will you listen? Will you be her knight? Or will the nightmares keep you at bay?

“How are you doing today?” his voice brought me back, my second shift had ran long. After eight hours stocking freezers and unpacking pallets I swapped straight into ten hours of flipping burgers, at some point I convinced myself that it was for the money, I didn't go to school like the others, my little brother deserved a better opportunity than me.
“Bien” I answered. My doctors eyes narrowed with a gesture he instructed me to sit, after almost eighteen hours on my feet I didn't feel comfortable sitting, a part of me needed to know I could run at any time.
“Are you dreaming again?” he asked. I shook my head for an answer, “Nightmares?” he asked softly as if asking a secret.
“No...” I responded softly as I sat down, “Long day” I sighed loudly, a part of me knew something felt wrong, but something always felt wrong.
“You only answer in spanish when your having a bad time” After a decade of knowing the good doc I would be ashamed if he didn't know me better than I knew myself. “Its Thursday are you visiting her?” he asked probing.
“Maybe” I clasped my hands against my knees to keep them from tapping a hole on the floor.
“You should,” he encouraged me. “I know you talk more to her than you do to me,” he gave me a pained look “I can't tell you how to live your life, nor will I pretend after all this years that you haven't been trying, just don't abuse of them” he stared at the bulge in my pocket, my medicine, my salvation, the one sliver of normality.
“Never, nunca, how could you even say that” probably the two close calls and one accident in the last ten years, but I've been good, I took one of my pill bottles out and shook it, “Almost full” he said, “I remind myself I'm stronger than I think and well I got you on speed dial”
I didn't give the doctor a chance to get a word edgewise for the rest of the appointment, by the time all was said and done I bolted from his office, the one good thing about having your doctor at the local hospital was that I could visit her, I knocked at the frame of her room, “Hi” I said softly as I entered.
The Tv was busing some jingle for some restaurant, “Still sleeping” I stood by the edge of her bed, her white gown covering her delicate frame. “What are you doing with your hair?” I asked as I walked to her night table and picked up a brush, I combed her hair as I caught her up with everything that had happened since the last week. The minutes turned hours till the nurse walked in.
“Time for her medicine” the nurse changed her IV and wrote in her chart after a quick examination “Visitor hours are almost done”
I nodded, “You heard her, It's almost time for me to go, but I'll be back next week” I swallowed hard, “Maybe you'll be ready then” I started to walk out when something on the TV caught my attention.
“We are live at the University of Cross rivers, where a disturbance has interrupted the big game between the Soul Nomads and the Phantom Brave's!”
I moved toward the TV trying to listen to the low volume, “ police are diverting traffic and animal control has been called. Alex your live at the field”
Action Alex here at the field, me and the crew are moving closer to the university's tower where we have a bird eye view of the game field. It looks like a large beast going rampage, a bear?

There's many ways to navigate the transforming Hero genre, be it Magical Girl, or Super Sentai. Some elements are consistent though not always mandatory. - Transformation; Although not always powerless, they can't tap to their full potential till they transform, the transformation can come from many sources, magical items being the most common.
- Patron/Guardian; Sometimes one in the same, other times not existent at all. They often guide younger chosen on their path and serve as the wisdom and experience that keeps them on their heroes journey.
- Team
Power Theme: Starlight's Chosen Magic takes many forms, each one as unique as the individual that manifests them. What form does your magic take? Are you fused with a yokai, did you make a contract for power? Do you wield a sacred or cursed artifact? Do you follow a specific tradition, Hermetic, Godai? Do you focus through talismans or do you use other foci like cards? Perhaps you could actually make it as a daytime TV psychic, or a fortune teller? Perhaps your expression of magic is so unique that it can’t even be listed. Can also inform abilities that You may have of D rank or lower That do not merit an entry in the sheet. Rank C Ability: A power that is not as taxing to use, low resource load for limited effects. This usually affects no more than Yourself or one other person at a time, and the effect is to a moderate extent. In the case of transformation, it's usually only one aspect (gain claws or tougher skin, or horns that can be used as weapons) In the case of summoning it would involve a creature of limited utility. It rises above what the average person can do, but is not considered a significant threat to public order. Rank B Ability: Forces you to dig deeper and expend more energy to use, in exchange the effects can be more significant or wider reaching than the previous power. This class of powers can be considered dangerous in the wrong hands and the reason why your character is registered is due to its potential risk to the public. However these powers lack the level of effect that could prove utterly destructive or cause a major impact. These powers are what allow the character to be a notable threat to a full fledged yokai, but are unlikely to be instantly lethal. Rank C Passive: An always active effect on you, a small boost that doesn't change much, but can give rise to impacts that go beyond normal human limits if only slightly. Slightly being for example, a passive healing effect that slowly heals you, or something in the realm of an emotional effect on those around your character. It varies based on the player’s character’s abilities. |

Name: what's your name, also include aliases, earned titles, and nicknames with quotations.
Age: how old are you (16+)
Birthdate: MM/DD
Nationality/Cultural Group: (where did you come from and who raised you?)
Height: (in imperial)
Weight: (same as above)
Gender: (Male, female)
Affiliations: Are there any groups they are card carrying members of? They accept all perks and responsibilities of those affiliations.
Appearance: Describe appearance including hair style/color, eye color, complexion, fashion, outfits etc. Please make at least a paragraph describing the way they look and their style. How do they carry themself?
Belongings: weapons, armor, gadgets, and other things your character generally has handy in most situations. Can also include things they may own, like vehicles. Pets should be included as an NPC even if it isn’t human level intelligence.. If it is something akin to batman gadgets it should be listed among your character strengths. If we are looking at something akin to a divine sword or ancient artifact, it should be listed in your power theme if that is what your powers stem from or as a passive power.
Personality: How does your character tend to think and act, what are their ideals? Their taboos? Who are they and who do they want to be? Please write at least one paragraph.
Character Strengths: What is your character notably good at, including at least 3. These are things that your character is notably good at but does not rise above what peak human performance can provide. These are generally to be used to justify what your character can be expected to be good at, and can be called back to when facing narrative challenges.
Character Flaws: What does your character struggle with, what makes them stumble. Your Achilles heel, your odd quirks that make people roll their eyes. Should have as many or more flaws than strengths. These are things that tend to make your character stumble, or more likely to fail when faced with these. Although, overcoming them can be seen as an objective of character development these things should define the characters and overcoming them in the moment should be the result of significant effort or favorable conditions.
Backstory: How did your character end up to the point where they start on the site? Please write at least one paragraph. Include how they joined their affiliation if any. Please write a paragraph detailing this backstory and if you have any affiliations, how your character joined up with this group. What shaped your character to be who they are currently?
Family, Friends Etc.: Include npcs connected with your character here. Family, friends, close acquaintances, people important to the characters backstory, can be added to later with mod approval(this refers to important npcs, like in the Shinsengumi or Ruling Class or say the Priest/Priestesses of Ise).
