Blue is probably the first thought that cross most people's mind when asked about Kai, although there are many shades of the aforementioned color, it is who he is. From the blue hair that sits on his head, to the dark blue eyes that can practically pass as black to the dense yet fine blue- fur that almost entirely covers his body and prehensile tail.
Describe appearance including hair style/color, eye color, complexion, fashion, outfits etc. Please make at least a paragraph describing the way they look and their style. How do they carry themself?
Belongings:
weapons, armor, gadgets, and other things your character generally has handy in most situations. Can also include things they may own, like vehicles. Pets should be included as an NPC even if it isn’t human level intelligence.. If it is something akin to batman gadgets it should be listed among your character strengths. If we are looking at something akin to a divine sword or ancient artifact, it should be listed in your power theme if that is what your powers stem from or as a passive power.

: How does your character tend to think and act, what are their ideals? Their taboos? Who are they and who do they want to be? Please write at least one paragraph.
Character Strengths:
- Kai considers himself a good artist being able to capture the essence of subjects in short order, having lived in his mother's castle most of his life he's become quite adept at drawing spaces. Often using this as ways to kickstart his memory of a location.
- Although his memory is not photographic, he does have a very sharp memory, in particular when it comes to locations, being able to recreate a room on his drawings from memory with high accuracy.
Character Flaws:
- Although he has had some time to adapt to the world outside Prima Materia, Kai still suffers from culture shock, leading sometimes to unfriendly interactions with people with no real malicious intent.
- A lifetime of manservants, maids and on call whims did not encourage him to develop great physicality, he's not a fighter, or a strong man, and would rather avoid combat when possible.
- Kai has learned a few skills over the years, he's not exactly the most independent person, often requiring or depending on others for simple tasks.
[Backstory]
Prima Materia was home for what felt like decades I grew up there, I learned, I lived, Mothers castle was my world, I did step outside from time to time, but there was little need, from the indoor gardens to the grand hall, to the towers that reached the heavens, even after decades It felt like I always found new.
For the longest of time, there was no need, no rush, I barely remember the early days. One day mother decided that it was time for me to be educated, that I needed to be more than just a wandering body in her halls. Lady Amelia agreed, she had taught me a few things, not that I ever needed to know more than what I wanted, and once I knew what I wanted, I made it known, for one of the many faceless manservants would ensure my desires were met.
Lady Amelia brought forward one of the maids, taking off her mask and raising her above the faceless her name was Maria and now she was tasked to be my personal caretaker, she became my nanny, my teacher, my warden and the closes thing I had to the warmth that the world calls love.
My easy going days became filled with knowledge, she taught me languages, she taught me art, she allowed me to ask questions and to receive answers, suddenly I felt a hunger I never had before, curiosity blossomed and grew, I constantly felt the need to learn more.
Some subject where bared, mostly those that dealt with the world outside of Prima Materia, I was taught to be grateful for what I had and not to question my blessings, from time to time Maria would get frustrated, and though she knew it was against the rules she would explain things using the outside world as examples. It only caused me to become more curious and at least initially hate the rest of the world.
As mine and Maria's relationship grew, more and more she bended the rules, teaching me more about the world outside Prima Materia, how the rules where different, the days and nights, how the air was light, yet how everything came with a price, she kept reminding me that I was blessed, for I had time. Never I feel like time was something I would ever ran out.
Never in our many talks did my difference ever come up, I knew I did not look like Lady Amelia, or Lord Volker, nor did my presence brought the racket of metal of Integral, nor my skin matched the browns of Maria and the few times I questioned it... I was given the tired response of I was blessed. I never felt blessed, I never felt special... But that was because I didn't know what I had.
Even with all the art and languages, the stories, the many lessons of math, science and more I was ignorant. I was dumb to the world.
Why I left and how I left I rather not say... I found myself in a new home, Maria had told me how to contact her family, the people I met initially did not believe me. I was lucky that they gave me a chance and took me in... Maria had been gone from their lives for a long time, the baby nephew she once told me about was a grandfather a man on the twilight of his life.
The few years I spend with Maria's family were the hardest years of my life, yet the most alive I ever felt, time meant something, I had to work for what little I had, I had to earn my rewards, Maria had warned me, but actually living it gave her lessons meaning. I regret not learning those lessons properly when she attempted to teach me, and although I was educated, I was out of time, the world that Maria knew had changed, it had been a good eighty years since Maria was last part of this world... Her words finally made sense.
I was blessed with time, for time in Prima Materia moved differently, I could see myself and the world around me age in ways that I never experienced in Mothers realm.
Maria's family did their part to protect me, but when you stand out as much as I do, the world see's you, and apparently Mother does too. She sent Lady Amelia to get me, informing me that I wished to traipse with the cattle, than I should be useful, It had only been a couple of year, but I could not see a world people like Maria's family where to be considered Cattle to mother... Not wishing harm to them, I did as I was told, I was to travel to another land, and find mother's sister, in the meantime I was to be a student, learn that which had changed and eventually report.
I have excitement and trepidation... I can't allow Mother to win, but I can't defy her as I am... She's kept me Ignorant long enough...
Family, Friends Etc.:
- Mother; A beautiful woman of power and influence, royalty of her own realm, she raised Kai with a certain detachment that has lead him to believe that she never truly loved him.
- Lord Regent of Ravens Volker; Lord Volker acted as power and authority of Prima Materia handling all day-to-day responsibilities that Mother deem bellow her. His presence feels like a contradiction, a man that looks like in his late eighties while being as spry as men a quarter his age.
- Lady of the Swans Amelia; Head of the maids, butlers and manservants of the house, probably the second most powerful voice in Prima Materia and the closes thing to motherly warmth in my life. She as never admitted her age, but many a time she has said things that color the idea that she is nearing a century if not older, including the fact that she has in the past threated Lord Volker as a child, although she is not as spry as Lord Volker, one would caution crossing her.
- Knight of the Crimson ∫ [Integral]; I've never seen the person underneath the armor, I do not know if there is only one or many, but Integral is the family's shield, he is the weapon master and lord of war, when I've asked why we still have someone like that in our family, I've been told its just tradition, its always been this way.
- Maria; She was brought into the house to be my caretaker, my teacher, my aid, my nanny, she had a warmth that no one else in Prima Materia had, she taught me a lot, sometimes going as far as teaching me things outside the designated curriculum.
Powers:
Power Theme: Magic takes many forms, each one as unique as the individual that manifests them. What form does your magic take? Are you fused with a yokai, did you make a contract for power? Rank C Ability: Blink
A power that is not as taxing to use, low resource load for limited effects. This usually affects no more than Yourself or one other person at a time, and the effect is to a moderate extent. In the case of transformation, it's usually only one aspect (gain claws or tougher skin, or horns that can be used as weapons) In the case of summoning it would involve a creature of limited utility. It rises above what the average person can do, but is not considered a significant threat to public order.
Rank B Ability: Jump
Forces you to dig deeper and expend more energy to use, in exchange the effects can be more significant or wider reaching than the previous power. This class of powers can be considered dangerous in the wrong hands and the reason why your character is registered is due to its potential risk to the public. However these powers lack the level of effect that could prove utterly destructive or cause a major impact. These powers are what allow the character to be a notable threat to a full fledged yokai, but are unlikely to be instantly lethal.
Rank C Passive: Spatial Awareness: At a subconscious level Kai maps his surroundings creating a rough impression of everywhere he's been, it does not take him long to create an impression of a location, dimensions, general shape , entrances, exits, ect. When he actively studies a location, he can be much more precise in his recollection.
