Hello and welcome to the parade! I want to take a moment to thank you for coming to our a site, and doubly so if this is the first thread you looked at after registering your account without being asked. Those who check this thread before making an account are next level and should be both respected and feared.
Jokes aside reading this thread is a mandatory part of getting started here and I ask that everyone read the following carefully. This will help prevent problems in the future, and in our community these rules will be considered common knowledge. Ignorance is not an excuse when it comes to these so keep that in mind.
Rule #1: We expect members of our site be respectful. Treat others with respect, and respect their boundaries. We don't expect everyone to be sworn siblings or best friends, but we do ask that you refrain from harassing bullying, flaming or otherwise attacking anyone. If they ask you to stop drop it.

Rule #2: No real world Politics. It goes without saying that people are here for escapism. There are plenty of places to discuss these matters and here is not one of them. Respect the fact that people might want a break for it, if you cannot hold back you desire to make your world changing thesis/manifesto/whatever, post it to a medium that will give it the attention it deserves twitter/x/bluesky/tumblr/facebook/myspace/4chan/geocities/anywhere but here. There are no exceptions, regardless of staffs personal inclinations all political talk will meet the same fate.
Rule #34 3: The board's rating is set to the equivalent of an ESRB M Rating. That is 17+. People that join are expected to be of age, and anything above that will not be allowed. If you can't control the horny there are plenty of websites to post your stuff, just please leave it and links to it off the site and discord proper. Fade to black scenes are imposed.
Rule #4 Just because something isn't explicitly disallowed in the rules doesn't mean its always allowed. If the action in question is borderline, we ask that you confer with staff.
Rule #5: You may post multiple threads using your characters. Timelines are up to each writer to keep and track. The only restriction is Dead characters.
Rule #6: No Godmodding. We don't want to see anyone with perfect infinite dodging or perfect accuracy. Violations will be dealt with. Powers have an innate cost of fatigue to them, overuse generally leads to damage to the body. To avoid the endless granularity of trying to turn an RP into a TTRPG we are allowing players to have some leeway on just how much their characters can take. However abuse of this will result in a warning, if the warnings are not heeded staff is authorized to impose a permanent penalty on the offending character.
Rule #7: World changing events need to be cleared with staff. This is not intended necessarily to prevent larger plots, but first rather to ensure that it wont be too impactful on people that dont want to partake in it, and second, if you overthrow the emperor and install another one and nobody knows it, did it really happen?
Rule #8: Consent is king, work with your thread partners and respect their wishes and hopes for storytelling. This goes for character death as well.

Rule #9: Npcs are non-player characters. Get permission from the person running the thread before bringing them in. do not use other player's npcs without permission either.
Rule #10: Exceptions make the rule when it comes to the setting. If you want your character to be an exception to something established in the setting, that is fine within reason, just be prepared to write the reasoning with consistent logic for why they are so exceptional.
Rule #11: One account per person, all accounts should be tied to a single account to keep track. Violators will have one or all of their accounts banned depending on severity.
Rule #12: If you disappear with no word for more than a week and it is holding up a thread, the character will be either skipped or otherwise taken control of to keep things moving along. All reasonable attempts to notify the missing member will be made by participants in the thread before this.
Rule #13: Have fun, in the end that is what we are all here for. please read the spoiler below.

Please include the word BANANA in all caps somewhere on your first character app to prove you read these rules completely
