Appearance: A light skinned with medium length blond hair with blue eyes, she kinda looks like a delicate angel. She usually wears a fantasy-like lolita outfits that have long flowing sleeves that cover her hands. She also has a butterfly headband or a matching baret on her favorite headwear. Her favorite colors are all different shades of greens and yellows. When working at the shrine, she wears her miko attire and hood.
Belongings: Talismans, kagura suzu, anything a shrine maiden has, a first aid kit, some headbands and hair ties, a pen and small pad of paper.
Personality: Not much is known from Mirai by mouth, but her actions tell much more than it needs to. She tends to help people in need or in pain. She also seems very spiritual (though how much is also into question even as a shrine maiden due to not speaking) and drawn to the sunny happier places more often. She also doesn't judge people until guilty.
Character Strengths: Good at sign language- With her being mute, she quickly conveys her words in sign language, communicating with it. She's quick to give it and she can understand even if someone is a beginner trying to try it.
Good at hearing- She can hear well, from small whispers to piercing screams. It is useful for gathering information
Cuddle buddy- Mirai always likes to give hugs, for a long time. So she will relax and comfort people through the power of friendship and hugs.
Character Flaws: Not physically strong- Her being small doesn't help bring the strength behind her swings, this is why her magic is her main focus of attack.
Easily Misunderstood- If the characters didn't learn sign language, or learns things better by speech, people may not understand exactly what she is trying to tell them. Mirai herself struggles with that, sure she can make small, whispery noises to try to help them but it ends up just confusing them somehow.
Quiet- She's not really the loudest person in the room, she feels like a mere mosquito on the wall compared to some of her allies. This makes her feel missed by some people or accidentally scare them when she didn't mean to.
Backstory: Mirai was born in the world and was fairly doted on by her parents despite their busy jobs. She was a peaceful girl growing up, often detesting violence and learning to try to resolve issues as quickly as she could. She developed muteism at an early age. Her parents thought that she was deaf too but was proved by doctors that she can hear just fine. Nonetheless, she was taught sign language to help communicate her thoughts easier, and taught her parents more about sign language in return as they taught her. She often found her mother's work to be interesting for her and she showed her interest in the work.
As she began her training, she began to develop the shrine maiden's magic that was a sign that heaven had blessed her and she was sent off to Ise shrine at 13 to have regular practice with her magic, whether it was nursing someone or helping out with the rituals and basic duties. She also developed ways to banish demons with light magic. Many described her to be a quiet blessing. She began her high school days this year, hoping to find some friends outside of the shrine.
Family, Friends Etc: Toda, Rokoro- Mirai's father, he is 43 years old. He is 5'4" a bit hefty with brown eyes, a blond comb-over and a broom mustashe. He works in an office building publishing popular sports manga in chapters and spin offs. He is a frugal man, wanting to spend as little money as possible for what he wants, which makes him a good haggler. He loves his wife and daughter in his heart.
Toda, Aoi- Mirai's mother, she is 49 years old. She is 5'3", of average weight with blue eyes, red hair in a low chignon. She is a miko in the shrine but began practicing the ceremony on her own due to the long trek she had made. She taught Mirai some techniques as well as some basic cleaning and first aid.
Powers: Years of training in magic, both healing and banishing.
Power Theme: She is a healer and a banisher of evil spirits in total, though she will still need some set up for the magic to take form.
Rank C Ability: Warming rays- Small waves of light that will heal a bruise instantly once applied and takes a little longer for smaller open cuts. Her fingertips gradually warm up and could cause some burning against her if she does it for too long.
Rank B Ability: Ring of light- Mirai makes a 10 ft circle on the ground where light will come down. Anything evil who come near it will feeling a burning sensation that cleanses evil from the target, pacifying it in the process. The longer it takes, the more sleepy she gets
Rank C Passive: Smoked applewood aroma- Self explanatory, she always smells like smoked Applewood, kinda like the BBQ
