Name: Kuroda Yasuharu「黒田安春」 ; yasu春 (former stage name)
Age: 20
Birthdate: 04/22 | April 22nd
Nationality/Cultural Group: Japanese, born in Hyōgo.
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 135 lbs
Gender: Male
Affiliations:
- Kuroda Clan
Formerly part of a branch family, he was eventually taken into the main family alongside his other siblings after Tsunemasa (his biological father) was sentenced to life imprisonment for his crimes.
- 4KEYNAGI
Pronounced "Shikinagi." 「四季凪」 An idol boy group themed after the four seasons, where he shined during his younger years. It was disbanded after their most famous member Natsuhisa (who was also Yasuharu's older brother) committed suicide.
- Abe no Seimei University
Yasuharu is currently a student in his 3rd year here.
Appearance: Many people recognize Yasuharu's appearance: short and wavy 'milk tea' brown hair with a noticeable ahoge, soft blue eyes, and a gentle smile that matches his youthful, mellifluous voice. Despite his negative views on the spotlight and his current reputation, he still enjoys dressing up stylishly and putting light makeup on his face in some way. But that's only on rare occasions where he feels comfortable, as for the most part he likes dressing in 'average' clothes, coupled with a variety of hats and face masks in an attempt to hide himself. He also wears fingerless gloves often to hide his pact marks.
Belongings: Yasuharu often wears a blue bag, containing the following:
- 1x smartphone, themed after Cinnamoroll.
- 1x wallet, with lots of money given by his clan.
- 1x tantō, used for self-defense purposes.
- 1x notebook, filled with scribbles and random thoughts.
- 1x pencil case, containing a variety of pens, pencils, highlighters, etc.
- 2x pouches; one is his makeup kit, the other is his first-aid kit.
- Various merch of 4KEYNAGI members, including him, for the sake of remembrance.

Personality:
Used to be a rather extraverted, courageous person on stage, Yasuharu had become quite the opposite as soon as his group disbanded. Shy, always tries to hide, doesn't make the first move unless you're close. However, he proves to be a gentle soul who wouldn't even dare hurt a fly, a sweet young man who gives inspiration just like he did in his prime. He does have his fair share of problems, though, like being extremely paranoid about every single thing to the point where he neglects his needs for someone's wants.
Character Strengths:
Dealing with strict training exercises, strict diets, and crowds of fans, as well as caring for a very energetic dog (Ietada), has taught him to be extremely patient, to the point where he can even talk to the most obnoxious people and not lash out.
Dealing with the aforementioned also gave him quite the flexible and agile body, allowing him to move freely and quickly in order to dodge attacks.
He is very gentle, always treating everyone with kindness even with his own pains. He wouldn't even dare hurt a fly, and would rather deal with situations as peacefully as possible.
He is open-minded; despite disagreements, he respects the other person and would never want to talk them down just because they think or do things differently.

Character Flaws:
The spotlight and its negative effects made him paranoid about all the judging eyes on him in his every move, causing him to constantly second-guess whether his actions are what is expected of him or not.
The spotlight also made him a people-pleaser, caring more for others than for himself, as if his needs aren't as important.
He also has PTSD, which causes him to be unable to think about music, performing, being an idol, or anything else along those lines, without thinking about his brother's death and becoming extremely upset.
He's emotionally dependent on other people. For one, he already relies on his family and Ietada for support. If you manage to befriend him, expect him to be rather clingy for this reason.

Backstory:
early childhood
Growing up, Yasuharu and his siblings were raised with many expectations simply because of their lineage. For the intelligence she displayed at a young age, his sister was dubbed a prodigy, a genius, and was told that she might one day be the Kuroda clan's best addition. In comparison, his and his brother's interest in the performing arts led to them being told that they, too, would one day be shining stars like their mother.
Despite all of those expectations, the three lived happy lives. They spent quality time with their parents and with each other. In the gardens, Yasuharu remembered playing tag, hide and seek, pretend tea parties, and a variety of other games. He also remembers the time they ran through the rain and got sick together, earning a reprimand from mama. Or maybe even his elder siblings arguing one day and then getting along the next without apologizing. All of this, and so much more. Ah, how he wished the good times would last.

without her
It all changed when their mother died unexpectedly with stab wounds and blood all over her and her husband's room, and it turns out that the culprit was a disgruntled former colleague who was jealous of 'taking everything away from her.' The murderer was arrested and rightfully punished, but the damage had been done, as Tsunemasa spiraled down into insanity as a result of this loss and gave in to his peers' little 'fun,' that being illegal experimentation.
In secret, some Kuroda branches experimented with human modification, hoping to create the perfect human being, the best of the best. Tsunemasa gave up the three children to become guinea pigs for these experiments. The three would be put under anesthesia forcibly and awakened with stitches on their heads and the rest of their bodies. In their case, it was a complete failure, and all the three received were shortened lifespans—by the age of forty, they would be expected to be dead.
On seeing this, Tsunemasa felt the worst guilt he'd ever felt when he saw this and turned himself in. He told his brother, Suehiro, that he had sinned and deserved to die, and begged him to look after his children until they eventually reached their forties, the end of their lives. Suehiro was furious at Tsunemasa's actions and sentenced him to life in prison, saying that he deserved to ponder his decision and be ashamed of himself for the rest of his life, but he did comply with his request to care for the children.
Tsunemasa was imprisoned, alongside a few other branch leaders that were involved in this situation, and Suehiro took the children that survived. However, it's rumored that the biggest contributor and founder of this 'project' is still in hiding and has something worse in mind.

a new friend
Soon after, Yasuharu made a new friend while playing outside. Kodera Ietada, an adoptive son of the Kodera, who was horribly mistreated due to his dog-like features and behaviors. Despite Ietada's (justifiable) introversion, Yasuharu managed to warm his heart by always being by his side and defending him from those who despised him. The Kodera even considered returning Ietada to the forest where he was discovered at some point, but Yasuharu persuaded Suehiro to let them keep him, and he eventually stayed.
Touched by this act of kindness, Ietada fell in love, and a few years later he gave something as a token of his appreciation—his whole life. He now considers himself as Yasuharu's most devoted believer, his owner, his master, and he entrusted full control over him through a pact that linked their lives together. Yasuharu accepted this pact, and would swear that he'll never use this power for evil.
Suehiro was rather concerned about the pact that they had made, and decided to send the three children to Kyoto for Yasuharu to be enrolled into Osamu Tezuka Academy. He contacted his older sister Shion to let them stay, and she agreed. Eventually, the three siblings would make Kyoto their home for the most part, but also visit Hyōgo from time to time.

4KEYNAGI
Amidst their studies, Yasuharu and Natsuhisa decided to live their shortened lives to the fullest and pursue the dream of following their mother's footsteps, to become an icon like her. Even at a young age, they went through a strict and harsh training period, but they eventually got accepted and were placed together in a four-person idol group named 4KEYNAGI. It helped that they were the Horiuchi Eva's sons, which may have contributed to their group's quick fame.
It didn't take long for 4KEYNAGI to gain popularity. A few years would pass, and their songs and music videos broke records, episodes of their regular show were eagerly anticipated by fans, and many people—even overseas—carried photo cards and merchandise of their favorite idols. It would be a huge surprise at that point in time if you didn't know who they were, especially Natsuhisa.
Natsuhisa was 4KEYNAGI's ace, their trump card, their leading man, their everything. Many people considered him the most attractive one, the one with the best voice, the one with the best personality, and many more. As such, their company would capitalize on this and feature him everywhere. Out of the four, he was the one on most commercials, on collaborations with food and beauty brands, and even many 4KEYNAGI works were centered on him.
His fans loved the spotlight put on him. Yet the others, of course, did not like it. Even the other three, including Yasuharu, became envious of his fame. Yasuharu disliked how his hard work was swept under the rug, and he was recognized as Natsuhisa's younger brother rather than his own person. Despite his feelings, however, he would never wish the worst on him… which many people did.
Haters hurled many allegations at him. Pictures were posted of him hanging out with a woman, claiming that it's his girlfriend. Old account posts resurfaced with him saying less than desirable things. Noticing his reputation being dragged down, Natsuhisa apologized for this, taking accountability for his past. Yet to these people, these were not enough and kept digging deeper for dirt, even criticizing him for the littlest thing he does.
Natsuhisa kept fixing and debunking things, and yet these people only kept breaking him apart. At some point he couldn't keep up the 'sunshine' facade anymore and fell into a deep depression, taking a break from idol activities. But even that was not enough—people harassed him on the streets as soon as they recognized him, he would always open his phone to see people tell him to kill himself, and it even got to a point where Shion's residence was found and they constantly threatened her simply for housing Natsuhisa in her home.
Blaming himself for how people treated Shion, he gave in to those threats and ended his life in his room. He forgot to close his door during that time, and Yasuharu was unfortunate enough to open it at the very second he saw his older brother slit his own throat.

without him
News of Natsuhisa's suicide spread like a wildfire, and it was only then and there that people opened their eyes and realize how severe their own damage was. Citizens all over Japan—loyal fans and even those with regrets—mourned for weeks over his death. The company failed to salvage things and disbanded 4KEYNAGI over the loss of their most valuable member, and the three would move on to pursue their own goals.
One of the members would eventually become an actor and gain the spotlight he never got in 4KEYNAGI, and the other would quit the entertainment industry to live his personal life in peace. As for Yasuharu…
His family relocated to a new home. Natsumi became more estranged and hostile due to her grief. Yasuharu continued his studies, but not only does he feel like his reputation has been ruined, but he has also developed PTSD as a result of what happened. He can't look at a musical instrument without thinking of his former glory. He can't think of 4KEYNAGI without crying about his brother, the former shining star, who is no longer here.
He genuinely loved music. He loved performing on stage, filming videos, signing autographs, meeting fans. He loved composing, writing lyrics, and singing songs with his group. But with all that's transpired, he can never bring himself to enjoy those things anymore. No longer was he the gentle spring breeze yasu春, one of the supposed successors to Horiuchi Eva's legacy, but now just a young man haunted by the ghosts of his deceased family.
But he still lives on. Suehiro and Shion believe in him. Ietada wouldn't have anything if he were not around. So with all of his strength, he represses all that pain and gives a smile towards every obstacle he faces. It'll be worth it one day, right?

Family, Friends, etc.:
- Kuroda Suehiro「黒田季広」; uncle, guardian (fifty-five.)
Tsunemasa's older brother and current head of the main family of the Kuroda clan. Known for his high regard for honor, integrity, and morality, for which he has received both praise and criticism. Because of his personality, he is furious at his brother's sins, which has resulted in his life imprisonment. Is also very supportive of his nephews and niece—as a matter of fact, he has 4KEYNAGI merch and albums hidden in his room somewhere.
- Munakata Shion 「宗方詩音」; aunt, guardian (sixty-one.)
Suehiro's older sister who lives a normal, peaceful life in another prefecture with her husband. She agreed to Suehiro's request to care for Tsunemasa's children during their stay in Kyoto. She was similar to Eva in many ways, from her caring nature to her sheer confidence and love for the arts. To Yasuharu and the twins, it was as if she came back for them.
- Kuroda Tsunemasa「黒田常正」; father (fifty.)
Suehiro's younger brother and the leader of one of Kuroda's more powerful branch families. Unfortunately, after confessing his crimes, his branch was disgraced. He used to be a decent man—strict, but still humane—but the murder of his wife drove him insane, leading him to use his children for illegal experimentation. He turned himself in out of profound regret, pleading with his brother to treat his children better than he could.
- Horiuchi Eva「堀内絵羽」; mother (thirty-eight, postmortem. forty-eight if alive.)
Tsunemasa's wife and a notable figure in the entertainment industry. She had been a singer and actress since her youth, known for her broad vocal range and roles as fun villains. Outside the spotlight, where she displays flamboyance and confidence, she is a gentle soul, a loving wife, and a caring mother. Her husband and children adored her, and her death would have a significant impact on their dynamic.
- Kuroda Natsumi「黒田夏美」; older sister (twenty-two.)
Tsunemasa and Eva's eldest child, and the one destined to carry on the Kuroda family's strategist legacy. She currently employs her reasoning abilities as a member of NAPI. Her demeanor is a stark contrast to that of her 'warmer' brothers; she appears to be cold and logical, dismissive of emotions if it means getting good answers. It is said that when her twin brother died, she became way colder, more cynical and distrustful of other people.
- Kuroda Natsuhisa「黒田夏久」; older brother (nineteen, postmortem. twenty-two if alive.)
Formerly 4KEYNAGI's leading idol, he is now a grim reminder of how cruel some people can be. In his life, he frequently displayed a warm, bright, and energetic personality, which was genuine until he received massive hatred for the minor things he did. The constant bullying, harassment, blackmailing, threats, and so on became too much for him, and he committed suicide when he was only 19 years old.
- Kodera Ietada「小寺家忠」; retainer, childhood best friend, one-sided love on Ietada's end (twenty.)
Adopted son of the Kodera clan, one of the Kuroda's vassal clans that serve as its guardians. He was ostracized by both his family and peers due to his 'odd appearance and behavior' stemming from his hainu heritage, but Yasuharu never cared for those and cherished him as his dearest friend. True enough, Ietada behaves like a dog; he is playful, energetic, and affectionate, particularly towards his lord, but he becomes wary—mayhaps even outright violent—towards strangers.
- Fuyuhiko「冬彦」; fellow 4KEYNAGI member (twenty-three.)
In keeping with his theme of 'winter,' he is the least sociable and talkative of the four members. His audience appeal is the tsundere type towards his peers. However, Fuyuhiko actually despised Natsuhisa due to jealousy over his popularity and their company's favoritism, and rumors circulate that he helped with ruining his reputation; such feelings also extended to Yasuharu. Following the disbandment of 4KEYNAGI, he went on to have a successful career as an actor.
- Yoshiaki「嘉秋」; fellow 4KEYNAGI member (twenty-four.)
As the eldest member of the group, he served as the 'parental figure' to the other three. Calm and collected, he was frequently the mediator when disagreements among the members arose. While he was envious of Natsuhisa, he also sincerely mourned his death, and up until now he remains in contact with Yasuharu to inquire about his well-being. He left the entertainment industry to focus on his personal life.
❁⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❁
Powers: Yasuharu's powers are acquired from a pact with Ietada since his childhood, as a sign of deep trust and affection.
Power Theme:
Yasuharu and Ietada can be described as either Master and Servant, or owner and pet dog. The latter has his own abilities, such as being able to turn into his black shiba inu form willingly, but the former can issue a limited number of commands (depending on the number of activated abilities currently unlocked; in this case, two) to change the tides of the battle.
His commands are represented by black kanji characters on the back of his hands, each corresponding to an activated ability, with them disappearing whenever he gives one. Over time, the kanji reappears on his hand with stroke orders; cooldown/amount of time depends on the rank of the ability.

Rank C Ability: 翼 – with these wings of yours –
Hainu are winged dogs, and yet Ietada doesn't show his own by default. But with this ability, Yasuharu can temporarily let Ietada show his wings to grant him flight and increased speed. At this rank, he can only fly up to sixty feet from the ground and can move quickly up to thirty feet at maximum.
Lasts for five minutes. Yasuharu's marks reappear over the course of three hours.
Lasts for five minutes. Yasuharu's marks reappear over the course of three hours.
Rank B Ability: 怒 – all that fury, let them go –
Hainu are ferocious, and yet Ietada shows reason and self-restraint. Yasuharu, however, can command him to temporarily abandon his reason and use his rage to eliminate all of their enemies. Ietada gains claws, his fangs grow longer and sharper, and his scleras turn black, in addition to his wings and speed from the previous ability. His abilities are enhanced (attacks, speed, etc.), but he becomes impulsive and uncontrollable. He'll bite and scratch anything and anyone he sees as a threat, strategy and obstacles be damned.
Lasts for ten minutes. Yasuharu's marks reappear over the course of six hours.
Lasts for ten minutes. Yasuharu's marks reappear over the course of six hours.
Rank C Passive: 絡 – our fates intertwined –
Yasuharu and Ietada trust each other the most, to the point where their lives are intertwined—they live together, die together, and feel at ease when they are by each other's sides. When they are close to each other, their anxieties soften (though don't completely disappear), and even when they are separated, they can sense each other from afar (up to one mile) in the case of emergencies. Yasuharu can even understand Ietada's woofs and barks when he's in his dog form.
However, their connectedness is also a major disadvantage, and it wouldn't even matter that much which one you hit first. Taking damage weakens each other's abilities; if Yasuharu gets greatly damaged, Ietada would feel himself getting weaker, and vice versa. When one is ill, knocked out or dies, the other follows.
Yasuharu's marks for this ability are placed on the palm of his right hand. They become gray when either he or Ietada is knocked out, and completely disappear when they die.
